CAMILLE PROVOST

Camille Provost (b. 2000, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire) is a French-Ivorian visual artist based in London. Provost has developed a research-led approach to making, grounded in curiosity and an engagement with the properties of materials.

Her sculptural practice begins with personal archives and the textures of domestic life. Through processes of carving and assembling, she reanimates these remnants into new, enigmatic forms. By reframing the everyday, Provost explores how migration reshapes one’s relationship to home and to the self, resisting nostalgia in favour of critical intimacy. Within her practice, individuality is negotiated through a constant tension between belonging and otherness. Through a layered and meditative process, she invites viewers into a tactile dialogue around personal histories, trajectories, and belonging.
